Umm Ali Croissant Dessert

A rich and creamy Middle Eastern bread pudding made with buttery croissants, warm milk and toasted nuts. Perfect served warm after dinner.

  • 5 croissants
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup pistachios

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Tear croissants into baking dish.
  2. Heat milk, cream and sugar until hot. Add vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. Pour over croissants. Add raisins and nuts.
  4. Let soak 5 minutes.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden.

Notizen

Serve warm for best texture. Do not overbake. Add condensed milk for extra richness.
