One Pot Halal Beef & Rice

Zutaten
  

  • 500 g halal ground beef
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups halal beef broth
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • Large pot with lid
  • Wooden spoon

  • Knife and cutting board

Method
 

  1. Rinse rice until water runs clear and drain.
  2. Sauté onion in olive oil. Add beef and brown.
  3. Add garlic and spices. Stir 1 minute. Add tomato paste.
  4. Stir in rice and pour broth. Bring to boil, then simmer covered 18–20 minutes.
  5. Let rest 5 minutes, then fluff and serve.

Notizen

Do not stir rice while simmering. Let it rest before fluffing for best texture.
